1. Salt Lake City- Yes, an obvious one considering church history. As you relax amid the delightful flower gardens and gaze at the angel Moroni atop the temple, perhaps you might contemplate the incredible dedication of those remarkable pioneers whose faith in the Lord inspired them to build this impressive and sacred edifice.
2. Nauvoo- In 1839 Joseph Smith and his followers settled in this area after they were forced out of Missouri by religious persecution.
3. Kirtland - Come visit Historic Kirtland, a small settlement in northern Ohio, where members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered shortly after the Church was founded.
4. San Diego- Visit the Mormon Battalion Visitors' Center in Old Town San Diego to learn more about this remarkable group, the sacrifices they made, their contributions to the settling of California, and the reason they were willing to travel so far. Free guided tours and video presentations are available.
5. Disneyland - Ok, We agree, not that spiritual. But a blast for the kids. Within driving distance of many cities and many Mormons in the American Southwest.
6. Hawaii - A great location for basking in the sun, surfing, shopping, or just hanging out. More importantly, great church history can culture can be found here. Try the Polynesian Cultural Center - It's awesome!
7. Grand Canyon -The Grand Canyon is more than a great chasm carved over millennia through the rocks of the Colorado Plateau. It is more than an awe-inspiring view.
